Background
Janelle's clinical background spans four very different settings. She worked in public schools with students between three and fourteen. She worked one-to-one with a college student with cerebral palsy. She treated patients in a skilled nursing facility, and she practiced on the rehabilitation floor of a hospital.
That breadth is unusual for a pediatric therapist, and it shows up in how she practices. Play-based, because children learn best when they are engaged. A child working through an obstacle course is building motor planning, bilateral coordination, and frustration tolerance, and experiences none of it as work.
Evidence-informed, because enthusiasm is not a treatment plan. Interventions are chosen for research support and reassessed against measurable goals.
Family-centered, because Janelle sees your child for an hour and you have them for the other hundred and sixty-seven. Every session ends with something concrete you can carry into the week.
